Physical repositioning of the drives does nothing to alter the assigned drive letters. Is there anything in Windows 2000 Pro that allows assignment of Drive letters to specific disk drives in the system? I've been unable to find anything that would allow me to do this. Yet some of the processes on startup must have decided to create the directories they couldn't find! My "empty" partition contains empty inetpub, program files, RECYCLER, System Volume Information, directory trees, along with a nice pagefile.sys which fills the 1Gb partition nicely, with 40Mb to spare!
